Q&A About "The Faith Forward Campaign"

The Faith Forward Campaign is the title given to our building project.
It consists of three phases:

1.  What is the Faith Forward Capital Campaign?

III. Debt Retirement

2. What is a pledge and how does it work?

A pledge is a promise to give an identified amount of money over a period of time. You start by making a pledge to donate an amount you declare for the next fiscal year. You also specify when you will donate (weekly, monthly, quarterly). You can donate by automated payments from your bank by check, credit card or cash.

3. Why should I pledge?

Truth Center Ministries is embarking on a capital funding project, the objective of which is to acquire a building or property to establish a base of operation. When you pledge over and above what you tithe your pledge is a spiritual commitment to this project. Making a pledge is a commitment, it allows the church leadership to plan more effectively.

4. How much does Truth Center expect me to give?

You’re expected to give as generously as you are led. We have included a suggested giving guide on the pledge card and envelope to give you a range of options for your pledge.

5. I am not a member of Truth Center can I still make a pledge?

Absolutely.  We welcome anyone to partner with us and assist in what God is doing through Truth Center.

6. Can I do any fundraising on my own?

Yes, there are guidelines on how we raise funds. However, if as a congregant or friend of the ministry you wish to sponsor an event and donate the proceeds to the ministry, this is welcomed.

7. Why do we need a permanent facility?

At this stage, we believe the best way to use our resources, meet our congregation's needs and implement new ministry efforts is through ownership.

8.  How much is the entire Faith Forward project going to cost?

The overall cost based on our desired square footage and location is estimated at 2.3 million dollars.

9. What is the specific goal of funding?

To launch the project, pay for the entire project and retire the debt over a five year period.  However, the immediate funds are needed for acquisition and build out.

It’s Time to Take a Walk

Begin by praying, seek the Lord on how He is leading. Only God can tell you how to respond so make it a spiritual decision. You may want to follow a process similar to this:

• Pray - begin regularly asking, "God, what is Your will for me as it relates to the Faith Forward Campaign?" Keep asking as you take these next steps.

• Think Through - how God has blessed you. We spend so much time thinking of what we don't have. Use this as an opportunity for showing gratitude for all you do have.

• Discuss - what you're thinking with those affected by your decision.

• Decide - make a decision that requires stepping out in faith. A decision between you and God made to honor Him in response to how He's blessed you. Whatever you decide, do it as an act of gratitude to God. Give in response to God – not in response to Truth Center. Then, pray for the courage to step out in faith and trust Him to use your giving to reach far beyond yourself.
